A Golem’s Ride on Highway 101 imagines the legendary Golem as a freshly launched bot, assembled from code, data, and incantations, then set loose between Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Hoverboarding through a landscape of billboards and bandwidth, the golem glides along roads paved with computer schematics. Armed with nunchucks made from a kabbalistic matrix—because spiritual protectors need an upgrade—the Golem charges itself on competing promises: learn Kabbalah, deploy an AI agent, transcend humanity. In the end, it’s unclear whether this Golem is here to save us, replace us, or just do what it was programmed to do: be helpful.
