This artwork was commissioned by Third Space at Shaarei Tfiloh; a new iteration of an historic synagogue next to Druid Hill Park in Baltimore. The space will be a hub for cultural engagement with an urban, Jewish perspective. I was invited to display my artwork there as part of the inaugural celebration.
The collage visually connects the synagogue with the park and is an interior versus exterior exploration of the site. Gouache reproductions of historic postcards of iconic scenes of the park are a central motif in the composition.
