This collage was a commission to illustrate a passage from Psalm 114: “The sea looked and fled, The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back; the mountains leapt like rams, the hills like lambs.” This psalm is part of Hallel, which is recited on some Jewish holidays as an act of praise and thanksgiving. The collage material is geographically relevant; photos of the Negev and topographic maps of the Sinai region.
